We have big dreams to save people money and stop more items than ever from going to the landfill. But we can't do it alone!
We're looking for people who identify with our mission who want to give back to the Tucson community in a fun, collaborative way.

What is the time commitment?
Typical time commitments for board members include attending a monthly two-hour board meeting, keeping up-to-date on TRC activities posted on our social media/newsletter, and monitoring your board member email account. Other time commitments will depend on your interest area and could include serving on committees, volunteering to complete tasks or plan events, or meeting with other volunteers to give advice in your area of expertise.
Is there an age requirement?
All ages are welcome to apply, and no previous board experience is required.

What projects or goals are you working on that I could get involved with?
We are actively working on getting a brick and mortar building to host regular events/ workshops, accept donations, and sell upcycled items/supplies to do upcycling projects. We want that store to support thriving wage, mission-based local jobs. We want the brick and mortar to contribute to the City of Tucson's zero waste goals.
We want to host a huge event called the "Repair Fair" in partnership with the City of Tucson where we will gather vendors, artists, and repairers to share skills and fix items in one fun repairing bash!
We want to continue to build partnerships to support other nonprofits, schools, and the City of Tucson with education and waste.
We need to continue to improve our volunteer management, organization longevity, and event flows.
